The layout was originally intended as a dog bone to run along a basement wall with a modest hidden staging yard and return track behind and underneath the running tracks.  Emphasis was on a 3m simple electrified run through hilly countryside linking towns with a ubiquitous castle somewhere along the way. A station with semi-prototypical platform lengths was also planned. A work move, however, required that the modules were stored for 4 years and the layout was subsequently extended and reconfigured to run around three walls requiring new corner and fill-in modules to be built.
